Ed Stone is an independent photojournalist, film-maker & drone pilot based in Somerset. He is known for his calm manor & creative eye.

Ed starting experimenting with his first camera aged 14. At art college, Ed studied: 35mm Black & White Photography alongside: Sculpture, Painting, Life Drawing, Ceramics, Textiles, Graphics, Print Making. In the Cornish seaside he studied Press & Editorial Photography at Falmouth University. He interned on the picture desk for Rex Features photo agency in London. Ed freelanced for 2 years with Rex Features to shoot & wire onsite breaking news / celebrity events / PR jobs. Ed then shot unit / PR stills on TV & Film including The Only Way Is Essex & films by National Film & Tevelvision School. He moved onto assisting other photographers from fashion & interiors to wedding photographers: Venetia Dearden, Dave Watts, Matilda Temperley, Ngoc Minh Ngo.
Today Ed runs an video production company.
Based at his studio in Somerset. Ed enjoys a wide range of commissions.
Personal projects include an ongoing project in Kurdistan, Iraq & more locally documenting the Somerset Floods, Artisan Somerset Cider Makers & The Somerset Carnivals.
